This role is essential to act as the primary point of contact between Customer Service and Dispatch for deliveries to Metro Branches and regional customers. The Dispatch Coordinator leads the PM (afternoon) loading team to ensure DIFOTIS (delivery in full, on time, in spec) is achieved.Key responsibilities include:Ensuring vehicles (trucks) loaded are fit for use (COF, WOF standard).Loading and securing glass products safely, in accordance with the load plan and at an acceptable rate.Supporting the Dispatch Supervisor in identifying opportunities to improve Dispatch operations and service to customers.To succeed in this role you will:Understand and demonstrate the fundamentals of good leadership.Have previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or logistics environment.Be an agile leader with effective communication and problem-solving skills.Demonstrate situational awareness and an appreciation of consequence.Have previous experience with scanning and processing of delivery documentation.Have knowledge of glass products and service (an advantage).Have previous experience working on afternoon and evening shifts.Pride yourself on your high level of customer service.Have an operational excellence mentality - 100% is the least we can do.Be able to demonstrate a strong health and safety focus with a zero tolerance approach.Hold an appropriate class full, clean driver's licence for trade vehicle (Class 2 essential, Class 4 an advantage).The loading shift operates from 1pm - 9.30pm, Monday - Friday.This is a hands-on role where you will be required to roll up your sleeves and muck in with plenty of variety to keep you on your toes.We work in a fast-paced environment with short lead times.
