As the Director of Software Engineering for Leapfrog, Seequent's market-leading 3D geologic modelling product, and Volsung, Seequent's advanced geothermal simulation software, you will ensure the software development process runs seamlessly. Your leadership will drive the production of high-quality and reliable solutions, delivered on time and perfectly aligned with market needs. Play a pivotal role in strategic planning and execution for Seequent's largest revenue product line, serving the Civil, Energy, Environmental, and Mining sectors. You will have the opportunity to oversee the successful transition of our desktop products to hybrid solutions, leveraging cloud services for enhanced user experiences. As a motivator and leader, you'll inspire software teams, guiding the development process and fostering enthusiastic collaboration across all teams at Seequent.
Please note, this is a hybrid role to be based out of the Christchurch office. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead strategic and technical leadership in crafting cutting-edge desktop software products and innovate cloud services. Champion the implementation, measurement, and continuous enhancement of dynamic, empowered teams. Strategically prioritise and allocate feature development and quality assurance work within the team. Orchestrate the coordination of the testing process and lead quality assurance along with automated testing of the products. Collaborate with the architecture teams to shape the direction of products architecture direction, leveraging Evo-enabled capabilities for deeper integration. Monitor delivery progress and communicate changes with clarity and precision. In order to be successful in this role, you should have: Minimum of 10 Years of Experience as a Software Engineering Manager within a commercial software organisation. Tertiary level qualification in Software Engineering or related scientific disciplines would be highly desirable. Extensive experience with agile development methodologies. Strong analytical, leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate as a coach and mentor. Strong relationship development and presenting skills.
