Director of Human Resources – Hilton Auckland With no two days alike, the Director of Human Resources is accountable for the entire spectrum of Human Resources activities across the iconic Hilton Auckland hotel. This role reports directly to the Cluster General Manager and will head up the Human Resources function at Hilton Auckland along with other divisional leaders.
What will I be doing? The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for driving team member engagement through succession planning, talent management, learning and development activities, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations initiatives. You will have extensive involvement in spearheading all employee relations and industrial relations activities and will have the opportunity to localise and embed a number of Global Human Resources activities that reflect the company vision, values and brand cultures. You will also work closely with the Hotel Directors and Heads of Department to ensure a productive and harmonious environment leading a small HR team.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Human Resources Management.Strong Industrial Relations experience and knowledge of New Zealand employment law.Extensive background in executing team member engagement, recruitment and learning and development activities.A collective approach to solving complex issues with high level of ability to influence across the business.Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict, and work efficiently under pressure.Excellent leadership skills and exceptional communication skills with an ability to connect with people at all levels.Demonstrated high level coaching skills.A customer service approach to human resources & excellent interpersonal skills.A Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.It would be advantageous for you to demonstrate the following capabilities: previous human resources management experience in the hotel, hospitality, leisure, and/or retail sector.About Hilton With thousands of hotels in over 100 countries and territories, Hilton offers countless opportunities to delight.
