Wellington or Auckland based role in a central locationKey leadership role supporting critical work for the benefit of all New ZealandersA collaborative environment with the opportunity to be involved in a variety of unique workA great opportunity for an experienced finance leader to utilise their expertise and experience in a unique and complex environment.Te turanga – The role and your impactThe Director of Finance role reports to and functions as the key finance adviser to the Assistant Governor/General Manager of Finance and Commercial Operations and wider Executive team. You will be comfortable communicating with the board and audit committee as you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the RBNZ's financial reporting and control environment.You will provide excellent leadership with a collaborative approach together with your professional expertise. As the Director of Finance, you will work closely with the ELT and your wider leadership cohort to contribute to the setting and delivery of strategic priorities for Te Putea Matua.This role will give you the opportunity to work across a variety of unique programmes of work across the full breadth of the RBNZ, engaging with external and internal stakeholders.We're looking for someone who will bring a collaborative style with engaging communication skills.You'll also be the kind of person who has proven leadership experience in a finance function that can provide a supportive leadership presence and holistic view.In addition to this you'll also have:Experience with complex balance sheets and leading a complex financial systemExperience leading diverse teams and facilitating continuous improvementA strong level of technical competency covering financial and treasury managementProven experience building, fostering, and enabling a high performing, collaborative, inclusive and diverse cultureA collaborative approach with excellent relationship management skillsChartered Accountant membership with CA ANZ or equivalentKo wai matou – Who we areWe're kaitiaki (guardians) of New Zealand's financial ecosystem – enabling economic wellbeing and prosperity for all New Zealanders.
