The Director of Audience Engagement at Auckland Museum holds a pivotal, executive position responsible for shaping and enhancing how the Museum connects with its diverse audiences. In alignment with Museum's 'Path to 2029' strategic direction, this role provides strategic oversight and operational leadership of the Audience Engagement portfolio, ensuring integrated, world-class programming that reaches on-site, off-site, and online audiences.
The role encompasses responsibility across five critical areas: public programmes and events, learning and education initiatives, touring exhibitions and gallery displays, digital experiences, and marketing. This role drives innovation and collaboration, working across teams and with external stakeholders to provide educational, immersive, and inspiring experiences.
