Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
The Digital Enablement - Asset Lead is part of a virtual team led by the Digital Enablement Business Lead, focused on developing, and then implementing, the NZTA Digital Enablement Strategy. This role reports to the Team Lead Asset Management Information and is the all important conduit between the functional Maintenance and Operations teams and overarching Asset Management functions, and the wider Digital Enablement virtual team.
The role will take a lead in the strategy to action delivery of the digital enablement strategy as it pertains to our asset management approach, and is responsible for providing digital enablement operational support to the asset management, standards and operational teams to ensure they are consistently applying a clear approach, and standards and procedures in line with the strategy. This includes ensuring that we have the right data and information to support our planning, both long term, and through early project development.
You will bring your proven experience and in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital engineering strategies to this role and ideally you will have led digital engineering project teams in the past, particularly in the early stages of strategy and implementation development.

Proven experience, in-depth knowledge and understanding of digital engineering strategies, complex roll out of new digital ways of working and ongoing support and continuous improvement practices
A deep understanding of, and proven expertise implementing, AMDS, ISO 19650, NZ BIM Handbook
Proven ability to build and maintain highly collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders
Preferably a background in transport infrastructure with a strong and demonstrable business acumen
Experience applying in-depth analysis to complex issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly effective planning and organisational skills including time management and prioritizing work in a complex work environment
Effective risk identification, mitigation and valuation
A relevant or equivalent Digital Engineering / Business tertiary qualification
Knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector
