Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand, leads the day-to-dayrunning of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered atlocal, district, regional and national levels. As a Paediatric Specialist, you will play a crucialrole in providing expert medical care to infants, children, and adolescents.You will diagnose and provide ambulatory medical care for a range ofdevelopmental conditions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and educatepatients and their families about their conditions and their management. Theideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills, a strong dedicationto patient care, and will work collaboratively within a team environment.
This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term, Part Time position, 0.8 FTE (32hours per week) to start March 2025.
Responsibilities: Ambulatorypaediatric care of children with developmental conditionsProvide assessment, investigations, diagnosis and ongoing management of childrenwith developmental difficultiesCollaboratewith other healthcare professionals, including paediatricians, nurses, andtherapists, to provide coordinated care.Collaboratewith staff from partner agencies around assessment and/or management ofchildren - s developmental needs.Participatein multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences to discuss patient carestrategies.Participatein supervision of junior staff and other educational activitiesProvideadvice and consultative services to junior staff, SMO and primary carecolleagues, and members of the multidisciplinary teamTo be considered for this role you will need to be eligibleto gain registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, to find out moreplease follow this link https://www.mcnz.org.nz/registration/
