Establishing project teams including procurement and selection of contractors, architects, quantity surveyors, planners, civil engineers, etc.
and overseeing their performance, compliance with relevant legislation, conditions of contract, standards of quality and health and safety.You will be responsible for managing the risks associated with the development, deploying effective problem-solving strategies in order to locate potential areas of concern.
You will manage capital budgets and monitor project spend to ensure that projects meet agreed budgetary parameters.This role will be a full-time permanent position, working across the Bay of Plenty and North Island, with opportunities as far afield as Rotorua and Hamilton.About youGiven our social purpose and culture, it is important that you share our values.
In addition, you will have a strong track record of working within development project teams to deliver housing development projects from inception through to completion.Along with comprehensive experience of negotiating and managing construction contracts and a sound understanding of planning policy, Council consenting process, design standards and regulations.A tertiary qualification in Property Development, project management, project finance or other relevant discipline would be advantageous, along with up-to-date practical knowledge of housing development and construction practices.We are looking for a self-driven individual, with a commitment to continuous improvement, who is comfortable and able to work autonomously as your line manager is Christchurch based.
