Despatch Coordinator - Technical ServicesFull-timeAt WM New Zealand, we are the largest composter, the largest waste-to-energy provider and have the largest commercial electric fleet in New Zealand, all powered by electricity from waste. As a team, we are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to redirect, neutralise and use waste.As a Despatch Coordinator at WM New Zealand, you will play a crucial role in the efficient coordination of fleet scheduling, driver management, and the safe handling of hazardous and medical waste. Your responsibilities will involve dispatching jobs ensuring customer needs are met, balancing driver workloads, monitoring routes and ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining excellent customer service standards.What's Involved:Dispatching jobs to drivers to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery, while prioritizing customer needs.Balancing driver workloads and monitoring routes to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.Ensuring drivers have all necessary paperwork and equipment for safe waste collection, including hazardous and medical waste.Monitoring and managing jobs that have been rescheduled by drivers, ensuring minimal disruption to service.Setting up customer accounts and entering details into the system for new or modified service agreements.Responding to customer queries and concerns via phone or email, providing timely and accurate information and assistance.Minimum Requirements:Proven experience in dispatch coordination or fleet scheduling, preferably in a logistics or waste management environment.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers and customers.Knowledge of hazardous waste handling regulations and procedures would be advantageous.Proficiency in computer systems and software, including MS Office and dispatch management tools.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.A commitment to upholding high standards of safety and environmental responsibility.What's in it for you?Enjoy a role that keeps you on your toes, offering constant challenges with a competitive salary.Become part of a close-knit team that values collaboration, recognition, and continuous improvement.WM New Zealand offers proven opportunities for career advancement.How to Apply:To apply for this role click apply now.Please note - we do not always work to fixed closing dates and may start considering applications as they are received so we encourage you to apply early.WM is an EEO employer and promotes drug and alcohol-free workplaces.You must be in New Zealand and hold a current work visa / residency or NZ citizenship.Join us in creating a cleaner, greener future! #J-18808-Ljbffr
