About the role

As a Desktop Engineer, you will be assigned primary responsibility to proactively maintain and support CodeBlue client's desktops, notebooks, and tablets as well as associated IT infrastructure and the end users of the devices. As a trusted advisor to your clients, you will become an expert in their ongoing technology needs and provide your clients with a technology roadmap to assist them in achieving their business objectives.

Our Desktop Engineers are customer-facing with excellent communication skills, assisting in the preparation of scoping, design, project implementation documents, and help develop client SLAs.

To aid in your ongoing learning and development, you will be mentored by more senior members of the team to learn new technical and business skills from other team members.

Skills & experience:

Demonstrated success in a service delivery or systems engineer capacity (normally 2+ years).

IT technical experience (preferably in a relevant service provider or integrator capacity), with basic knowledge of most of the following areas:

Microsoft server technologies including, Active Directory Services, Exchange, SQL Server

Good desktop and laptop deployment & support experience

Basic networking (LAN/WAN) experience, with knowledge of switching and routing technologies

Basic virtualisation & cloud computing experience

Understanding of firewalling & security principles & technologies

Mobile computing technologies
