The role
As Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, pricing, planning and tendering services, while contributing to the overall business success.
This role will report to the Design Engineering Team Leader and will be based at our Auckland Depot.
The key responsibility for this position includes, but are not limited to: Prepare work methodologies and ensure designs and pricing are peer reviewed prior to submissionProvide Technical inputs for internal and external stakeholdersDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and client representativesVisit site locations to scope and tender for new projectsProvide accurate pricing, tender preparation, and project documentationCreate CAD construction and as-built drawings to specification.What's in it for you?

We're looking for someone with experience as a Design Engineer or Estimator in the electricity distribution industry, or a practical field background ready to transition into an engineering role.
Recent electrical engineering graduates are welcome to apply.
Your attitude, mindset, and willingness to learn will be key to your success.
To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills: Good knowledge of electrical engineering, power systems and distribution networkStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsExcellent communication, written and verbalA Full clean NZ Driver's licenceMS Office suite with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ProjectVery good organisational, planning skills, and being mindful on safety, quality standards at all timesComfortable liaising with various people and departments in a multi-cultural environmentHigh Attention to detail with accuracyAbility to be flexible when requiredAbout us
