We are on a hunt for an experienced Design Engineer to work in a small team based in South Auckland.

Our client is a market leader in the manufacturing space providing bespoke solutions to their global customers. Having their operations spread across New Zealand and Australia.
Purpose of this Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager this role is a key link between Sales and Production which involves product design and technical support.
The role will require excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, you will be required to work autonomously and collaboratively with the sales team, production team and providing solutions to customers.
Note: You must be currently living in New Zealand with full working rights to be applicable for this role.
Job responsibilities:
Create engineering drawings and CAD modelling
Creating design from concept to detailed specification and work instructions
Process development and project management
Technical support to the production team
Maintain a focus on continuous improvement
What you need to be successful in this role:
Knowledge and experience in CAD/ design
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
High level of computer literacy
Previous experience in -NetSuite, SolidWorks, Style CAD, Wintech, Profiler, Epilog Job Manager and MS Office Suite would be an advantage
Previous experience of CNC machine operations would be an added advantage
Strong relationship management skills and ability to work effectively across departments and/or business units
Be able to maintain a high level of quality, Health and safety standards as per the company policy
Be able to complete projects within time frames
Be able to commit to work in a full-time capacity
Must be a resident /citizen of New Zealand
Have your own transport
Be able to provide 2 professional references
Must be able to pass a drug test
No previous or pending convictions
