Collaborating with other Northpower business units and subcontractors, we are driven to create impactful, future-focused energy solutions.The RoleAs the Design and Engineering Manager, you will lead the creative and technical direction of our renewable energy projects from our Whangarei office, with some travel required to project sites. You'll oversee everything from concept through to completion, while inspiring and motivating your team to think outside the box. This includes overseeing project viability studies, procurement, construction, and handover to operations. Your leadership will ensure innovation, consistency, and excellence across every project stage. The ideal candidate will bring:Expertise in electrical, civil, or mechanical industries (being an SME in at least one).A knack for driving innovation and keeping up with global trends in renewable energy.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team to think creatively and achieve excellence.Experience leading renewable energy projects, particularly in solar energy systems over 500kWp.A degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics (preferred).Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.About usNorthpower is a leading electricity and fibre network provider, serving Whangarei and Kaipara.
