Deputy Principal/SENCOOur beloved, long term deputy principal is retiring, so we are looking for a new, vibrant and enthusiastic leader to join our team. We seek a strong professional with classroom and leadership experience, who excels in building relationships, setting high expectations and curriculum development.The following attributes are essential:The ability to work collaboratively in a collegial teamBe committed to professional learning and building capacity in othersAbility to lead change and support the Principal in relation to the school's strategic directionHighly efficient communication, organisation skills, and to be a team playerDeep knowledge of teaching pedagogy and the NZ Curriculum, with extensive knowledge of assessment practicesTo be an advocate for students in the area of pastoral careThe capabilities to maintain programmes and activities that reflect the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointmentExperience in a Catholic School is preferred, but not essential.
