We are seeking an effective and experienced educational leader who is passionate about school transformation and equity and excellence for all.
The ideal candidate will:
Have people at the centre of their practice and be able to build strong educationally focused relationships with relational trust and effective collaboration at the centre of their work.
Have a strong belief in and experience of the effectiveness of restorative practices.
Commit to culturally responsive pedagogy that honors all students' identity and have a deep understanding of our obligations to Te Tiriti.
Collaborate with parents and the community to support Maori, Pasifika, and diverse learners.
Model high-quality, research-informed teaching practices.
Drive innovation in curriculum and pedagogy to boost student outcomes.
Demonstrate strong leadership, fostering cohesive teams focused on mentorship and growth.
Support co-curricular programmes to enrich student experiences.
Strengthen community partnerships to enhance student achievement and wellbeing.
Experience in teaching the NZ Curriculum is essential. Applicants must hold a current NZ practising certificate.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position are set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will vary depending on the applicant's qualifications and experience as determined via a salary assessment.
