We are a unit with a significant system role, working across government to take collective action against family violence and sexual violence.
We steward the family violence and sexual violence system and drive realisation of the cross-agency strategy—Te Aorerekura.
We work in partnership with communities across Aotearoa New Zealand, placing survivors, families, and whanau at the heart of everything we do.
Te Haeata/The Opportunity We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to join our Executive Leadership Team as the Deputy Chief Executive / Director System Stewardship.
This role is pivotal in maintaining a comprehensive view of the Family Violence and Sexual Violence system, driving strategic direction, and ensuring the long-term sustainability and health of the system.
You will lead a Directorate, ensuring aligned strategy, policy, investment, insights and performance across the system.
You will strengthen relationships with IEB agencies and their DCE's, to achieve greater collaboration and collective outcomes, and offer thought leadership on the shifts needed to mature the performance of the IEB.
Proven experience in leading change at a system level, with strong strategic thinking and the ability to connect various aspects of the system.Experience in developing and delivering strategic and operational plans.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.Politically savvy, with extensive experience working with Ministers and understanding the Machinery of Government.Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships and partnerships.Commitment to achieving equity and championing Te Ao Maori approaches within your work.Our Values: We are guided by values such as Kotahitanga (equity in relationships and inclusion), Kaitiakitanga (protection and accountability), Mahi Tahi (collaboration and collective advocacy), Ora (wellbeing and restoration), Koi Mahi (learning and innovation), and Tiki-Pono-Aroha (integrity).

The appointing salary for this role will be between $215,642 and $300,564 based on skills and experience.
