The Role Are you ready to kickstart an exciting career in Prosthodontics? We are looking for an experienced dental assistant who loves what they do, to join our team and support our specialist clinicians.
Nelson Prosthodontics are specialist dentists who balance function with aesthetics to restore full confidence to our patients smiles. We are a combination of the right people, the latest technology and equipment, all working in a purpose-designed workspace with a dedicated laboratory.
You will support our highly experienced team of clinicians with various interesting dental procedures during patient appointments. You will also take responsibility for instrument sterilisation, infection control as well as stock control. Working beside our experienced clinicians will give you a great insight into our practice and a great opportunity to learn from some of the best.
Working Hours: Thursday: 8.30am - 5.30pm Note: One week in every month, the working days will shift to Tuesday & Wednesday with the same working hours.
Additional hours: May be available during periods of team members' absence.
The Location Nelson Prosthodontics is located at 38 Collingwood Street, Nelson.

Responsibilities Overall, the role of a dental assistant in a prosthodontic practice is diverse and dynamic, requiring a combination of clinical skills, patient care, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
Preparing treatment rooms & instruments. Taking impressions. Assisting with Lab work. Greet patients, review their medical history and answer any questions they may have. Educating patients on the correct oral hygiene techniques. The Person Having previous dental experience is essential for this role. Don't worry if you haven't worked in Prosthodontics before - we're ready to train the right person. Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in computer software applications. A natural multi-tasker that thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
