Job Description Lumino Kaitaia are looking for a new Dental Assistant who is enthusiastic and passionate about patient care to join the team on a casual basis! At Lumino Kaitaia we place the utmost priority on the patient experience! Providing the community with an array of dental care and experiences. Our vision is that dental treatment should be as pleasant an experience as possible. Our goal is to provide the best possible dental care to our patients by utilising comfortable, state-of-the-art treatment methods. As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld, and the best patient care is provided to every patient. You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines. This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer care. Responsibilities Assist clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials. Greet patients, review their medical history and answer any questions they may have. Provide patient care and education, such as teaching them proper oral hygiene techniques. Maintain accurate patient records and filing systems. Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is not required. We are open to training the right people for the role. No prior knowledge of dental procedures and techniques is necessary. Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills. Proficiency in computer software applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additional Information Lumino Kaitaia is located in the stunning Northland.
