The role: The Data & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end development and daily operational management of the Azure Data Lake, including configuring ETL pipelines, writing SQL scripts, and managing data workflows.
Additionally, this role will support BI projects by developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to present insights effectively to stakeholders.
The position offers opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute recommendations for process improvements.
This is an opportunity to guide and influence the adoption of Azure Datalake and Power BI to complement MS Dynamics 365 F&O implementation designed to transform the business and leverage opportunities to optimise our supply chain and delight our customers.
In this role, you will identify and implement solutions to leverage both legacy and external data assets.
Collaborating closely with our Data & Analytics Lead, your role will involve actively contributing to the administration and oversight of both our internal on-premises and cloud-based data warehouses.
Additionally, you will play a key role in designing data-driven artifacts using the Microsoft Power BI platform.Please note this is a 12 Month fixed term role.
What you will do: Effectively communicate and present information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Lead and manage Azure Data Lake developments, ETL pipelines, and related data engineering tasks.
Design and develop data-driven views, reports, objects, hierarchies, filters, dashboards, metrics, and visualizations, predominantly using the Microsoft Power BI platform.
Gather business requirements and translate them into technical reporting specifications.
Provide recommendations to the technical team and support business users in leveraging Power BI effectively.
Create calculated columns, measures, and relationships using Power BI data querying and modelling capabilities.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and testers using rapid prototyping and iterative design processes.
Ensure adherence to data governance and architecture best practices.
Assist in setting priorities, meeting deadlines, and adapting to schedule changes as needed.
What you bring: Excellent oral communication and presentation skills to disseminate information to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
2-5 years of experience in data engineering roles, managing Azure Data Lake developments and ETL pipelines.
2+ years of experience designing and developing reports and dashboards, with at least 1 year focused on the Microsoft Power BI platform.
Solid understanding of Power BI, including data querying and modelling capabilities.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and CE modules (desirable).
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude.
Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and pay attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
Tertiary education or certifications in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test prior to the commencement of employment.
