The Opportunity As the Enterprise Data Quality Steward, you will be at the forefront of developing a federated data quality measurement and monitoring capability, driving significant improvements to mature our enterprise data governance and quality. Your role will involve creating an atmosphere of confidence and trust, acting as the primary coordinator and developer of a federated data quality operating model (DQ Continuum) across the enterprise, in close consultation with the Chapter Area and Chapter Lead. This DQ Continuum framework is designed to integrate data quality checks, reconciliation activities, and reporting from data acquisition and profiling to pipeline reconciliation and end data product validation. Utilizing a flexible and robust SQL + Python framework, it ensures consistent operational monitoring of data quality and completeness within our modern Snowflake data hub. The outcomes and progress of data quality activities are made available for review by teams and leadership through Power BI and Alation, showcasing both current states and trends over time.
We are looking for an Enterprise Data Quality Steward who is passionate about building data quality capabilities within the Chapter and across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in implementing data quality improvements within a large data domain, enhancing data quality through expert cross-functional engagement and collaboration. A deep understanding of information management principles is essential to further develop and mature the federated data quality operating model, DQ Continuum, within Resolution Life Australasia. Additionally, experience with modern data governance tools and data catalogues (preferably Alation or similar) is required to manage user engagement with data assets, critical data elements (CDE), and related data quality metrics.
This role offers a Permanent full-time contract and embraces flexible working arrangements. You'll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
