Land Information New Zealand – Christchurch, South Island As part of the Data and Supporting Application Team within Digital Delivery at Toitu Te Whenua, you will develop expertise in some of Land Information New Zealand's (LINZ's) key systems data, including our Landonline and Customer Relationship Management systems. Landonline is the transaction centre for property professionals and local councils to carry out land dealings efficiently and securely online. This includes the national database of property ownership and the official records of land boundaries. As a Data and Business Analyst you will maintain and support our current and future reporting support systems. This will include ensuring that our systems continue to meet the current and ongoing needs of the Property Rights Group. With your experience as a Data and Business Analyst, you'll enjoy the opportunity to apply your high-level analytical skills to your work and undertake data analysis and the interpretation and provision of systems related advice as you support both our internal and external data customers. You'll draw on your knowledge of reporting tools and comprehensive understanding of databases and data structures to undertake data research, as well as the development and maintenance of reports, extracts and imports. With your strong stakeholder engagement skills and customer focus, you'll work alongside your team to advise on data supply and give advice regarding external databases and support our systems data quality by providing advice and support as necessary. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and support reporting systems for the Property Rights Group. Undertake data analysis and provide systems-related advice. Develop and maintain reports, extracts, and imports. Advise on data supply and ensure data quality. Engage with internal and external data customers. Minimum Requirements: Knowledge, skills, and experience in data analytics with a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience. Experience in Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar BI tools. Azure/AWS experience is preferable but not mandatory. Experience in creating and developing data models is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage across diverse groups. Ability to present and report data analytics clearly. Experience in educating and guiding others in data use.
