Our goal is to providea tool that will enable local and nationwide improvements in breast cancer careand elimination of inequalities faced by women in New Zealand. Our small but dedicated team works with health providers to obtain detailedinformation on the many factors that influence the breast cancer pathway. Theregister is a webdatabase where this information is entered andstored in a confidential manner. Our work is currently funded by the Breast CancerFoundation New Zealand, and supported by the Christchurch Hospital. This a fixed term contract of 1 year (12 month) from thecommencement date.Therole will provide : Exposure to a large multidisciplinary workforce Assist in the progress of Breast Cancer treatments and research Demonstrable differences for breast cancer patients will be achieved as a result of our workPrimary objectives of the role Collate and enter breast cancer data Carry out audits and data control checks to ensure consistent high quality data To facilitate the smooth functioning of the BCFNR Southern region by providing a high standard of data entry support Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and experienceEssential Work experience in health-related field Data entry skills and keen eye for detail Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (particularly excel) Strong customer service skills Experience in administration and a capable typist Innovative and motivated mind-set Clear communication skills - written and verbal with the ability to work effectively in a team Problem solver with ability to prioritise competing tasks Desirable Experience in / related to breast cancer data. (Although full training will be provided) Knowledge of Good Clinical Research Practice (GCRP) Familiarity with in-house software packages (Inteleviewer, HCS, Eclair ) Ifyou meet the above criteria, then we want to hear from you!
