We have a podcast, social media content, a newsletter, book and flagship investing e-learning course to lower the barrier to information.
Girls That Invest is an impact driven business, as our online community has doubled in 6 months, we need extra hands to best support our customers!
In this role, you'll be assisting in customer service and adminstration-related tasks to help aid our commitment in making financial literacy feel less intimidating.
*This is a contracted, remote role* Title : Customer Support/Virtual Assistant Hours : 20hrs/week Monday-Friday Working hours : 8:30am-1:30pm (4 hours per day, but can be flexible on start and end time!
We are a family-friendly startup) Remuneration : $35/hour (According to Seek, the average annual salary for Customer Service Representative jobs in New Zealand ranges from $28/hr to $31/hr) This role is for New Zealand and Australian applicants only.
Key responsibilities: Managing and replying to customer service emails, often questions like when our masterclass is coming, how to find information on finance-related topics, and guiding people to other resources.
(training will be provided) Managing and replying to customer service messages on social media DMs (instagram, twitter, LinkedIn) of Girls That Invest & Ms.Simran.Kaur - these are often more general in nature.
Managing and replying to student questions from our investing masterclass (training will be provided) Being resourceful and finding solutions through articles, videos, and podcasts relevant to our community Compiling frequently asked questions from our community into content ideas for our content team Cleaning up the comments section on IG (there are so many scam accounts!)
Virtual Assistant tasks including data aggregation, posting ready-made content on social media, booking meetings, investing masterclass admin + more This is the job for you if you Get excited to help out and do things on a whim, in a small business things move quickly!
Enjoy working from home and can manage your time efficiently (we all love a mid-day nap, I mean walk) Enjoy engaging with online communities via email/social media Are detail-orientated and tech-savvy - Colour co-ordinating in your spare time is your jam!
Enjoy a multitude of task-based roles - you enjoy being a generalist and learning new skills Enjoy knowing your work is creating a greater impact Enjoy taking initiative with the right support Have at least 1 year of experience in Virtual Assistant work, Customer Support Work or other Social Media work You may struggle in this role if you: Need to work alongside a big team, as this is a remote role with limited/few virtual meetings Find it hard to stay self-motivated, as it can get a bit lonely working remotely!
Don't like constructive feedback (ok look no one loves feedback, but we all can learn new ways of doing things!)
Find it hard to feel like your work is impactful in a customer support role.
All our jobs collectively help create a big impact, but sometimes it can feel hard to feel impactful day-to-day.
Get exhausted from communicating with people online - we have a LARGE online community on Instagram that you'll be conversing with.
It can tire people out.
Are looking for a role to quickly scale out of; this is a role that we'd like to keep for a long time (2-3 years).
We believe serving our community/customers is our top priority.
Start date: late July (flexible) Please know that the majority of these key responsibilities can be taught, we aren't looking for skill or even strong experience, we are looking for someone who's extremely open to being teachable, who takes initiative, and who has a positive, warm, "I can figure anything out" attitude.
The kind of person who says "I'm not sure how that works, so I'll google it".
