As a core function of this support is the IST team comprised of many different business units and experienced people.You will be part of the IST Customer Service unit that is responsible for the quality of IST service and support to its customers and champions a customer service focus across the IST Group and outsourced service providers.Mo te tunga | About the role:As one of four IST Squad Leads, you will lead a team of six Customer Technical Engineers and Customer Technical Analysts who are our first line of support for our customers, providing initial support and resolution management to the staff of the New Zealand Parliament. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of exceptional IT support services, leading the team to provide timely and effective resolutions to IT issues and requests, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction.To kete | What you will bring to the role:As an experienced people leader, you will have a strong desire to empower others and share our passion for customer service. You will bring to the role exceptional customer relationship management skills, critical thinking, and polished communication skills (both verbal and written). Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with your natural leadership ability to help inspire your team to achieve outstanding customer service results, will see you thrive in this role!Your CV will clearly demonstrate your experience in the following:Proven experience in a leadership role, ideally in a customer service desk or service desk operations.Examples of enhancing performance, fostering collaboration, addressing complex technical issues, and implementing best practices.Understanding of IT Service Management technology, ITIL disciplines, and service desk processes.Ability to influence and guide others through change, fostering a positive transition to the desired future state.Exceptional client service and relationship management skills, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.An "outside the box" approach to problem resolution.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas to a technical and non-technical audience.We offer a range of benefits including 5 weeks annual leave, access to an on-site gym and pool, learning and development opportunities, and flexible working arrangements.
