If you have a passion for helping others and possess excellent communication skills, we invite you to apply! ### Responsibilities As a Customer Service Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: - **Customer Interaction:** Engage with customers through various communication channels (phone, email, chat) to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide product information. - **Issue Resolution:** Demonstrate problem-solving skills by effectively identifying customer needs, troubleshooting concerns, and providing timely resolutions to enhance the customer experience. - **Product Knowledge:** Maintain a thorough understanding of company products and services to provide accurate information and support to customers. - **Documentation and Tracking:** Document customer interactions and maintain records of inquiries, complaints, and feedback to improve service processes. - **Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure complex issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. - **Customer Follow-Up:** Proactively follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with services and to gather feedback for continuous improvement. - **Training Support:** Assist in training new employees by sharing knowledge and best practices related to customer service and company policies. - **Quality Assurance:** Adhere to company standards for customer service excellence and participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain high service quality. ### Requirements **Educational Background:** - High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant degree is a plus but not mandatory. **Experience:** - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or related role, preferably within the financial services industry. **Skills and Competencies:** - **Technical Proficiency:** Proficient in using customer service software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. - **Independent and Resourceful:** Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving. - **People Management:** Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and manage relationships with a diverse customer base. **Soft Skills:** - **Teamwork:** Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, promoting collaboration and support among colleagues. - **Communication:** Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on active listening and empathy. - **Adaptability:** Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. ### Working Environment At Fifth Third Bancorp, we promote a work-life balance and prioritize employee well-being.
