About the role

Bluecurrent (formerly Vector Metering) is a leading provider of innovative smart metering services and solutions in New Zealand and Australia. As a B2B company, we partner with leading energy retailers and distributors in New Zealand and Australia.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our dynamic Bluecurrent team in Christchurch. As the Team Leader, you will lead one of the Customer Excellence teams and manage the workflow between our customers and the Field Services Providers (FSPs) to install, replace, and upgrade smart meters, ensuring that the organisation has the right capabilities to meet current and future expectations and key deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

Manage and drive the delivery of FSPs, customers and the internal stakeholders in order to meet all agreed SLA requirements and exceed customer expectations.

Create, maintain and review daily, weekly and monthly reports and ensure strategies are implemented to improve quality, productivity, efficiency, and eliminating waste.

Development of operational plans, procedures and policies in order to meet customer and contractual obligations and to ensure compliance with ISO and regulatory requirements.

Manage and coordinate resourcing to optimise cover of all workflows with an increased focus on UTC (Unable to Complete) resolution management, looking for efficiencies, and new solutions, and ways of doing things.

Lead one of the Customer Excellence teams (6-10 direct reports), ensuring employees are recruited, developed, appraised and performance managed effectively to fit the needs of the business.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has previous proven management and leadership experience within an operational team. Previous experience within the energy sector would also be a bonus. As the Team Leader, you will help coach and train the team.

You will have a problem solving and continuous improvement mindset to help deliver for the business and customers. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be exceptional and your communication, relationship building and influencing skills will be excellent with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with all stakeholders.

Additionally, you would have had previous exposure to strategy, planning procedures and processes and have advanced experience in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word.
