Position: Electrical Engineer
Short Description: A key leadership role that reports to our Chief Customer & Strategy Officer. You will lead a team of 5, including key accounts, new network connections, and customer operations.

The Role
In this pivotal role, you will lead the Customer Connections team in processing new power applications and extensions, distributed generation applications, and managing network issues for existing customers. Provide project leadership and contract management related to new and existing customers.
Ensure all metering obligations are met in accordance with the Participation Code and compliant. You will lead AEL's customer connection pricing strategy and approach.
What You'll Need

Previous experience with Design, Construction, Maintenance, and Asset Management of Electric Power Distribution systems.
Knowledgeable about the Electricity Act and associated Regulations, The Industry Participation Code, EEA SM-EI manuals, Health & Safety in Employment Act and associated Regulations, and Resource Management Act.
10 years experience in delivering major civil engineering projects or work programmes, plus 5 years at a senior level leading teams that are driven on results.
Experience in working with engineering consultants, Service Providers, and a diverse range of stakeholders and community groups.
A Tertiary qualification in BE, BSc, BTech, or equivalent relevant experience is a must!

Next Steps
