The Role: Summer is our busiest time of year, with people from all over the country heading out on the water.
So, we're looking for Customer Care superstars to fill two full-time, fixed-term roles.
Starting early October 2024 until the end of January 2025 Starting early October 2024 until end of February 2025 You'll be joining our small but mighty Customer Care team who provide great customer service via phone and email along with general administrative support.
Your role will include: Answering customer queries via phone and email, ensuring a high level of customer service with every interaction Resolving customer queries in a timely manner.
This could be renewing a membership, taking a donation, updating customer details, or answering general enquiries about Coastguard Processing daily banking, Callsign applications and returned mail, ensuring all details are recorded accurately in our database General reception and administrative tasks.
To be successful in this role, you'll have: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy reception or call centre environment A friendly, helpful phone manner - there are no scripts to follow here, so bring your personality and willingness to help Good computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn new programs A willingness to roll up your sleeves and turn your hand to whatever needs doing A good general knowledge of New Zealand geography Don't worry if you don't know a lot about boating or safety out on the water, you'll be supported by experts to help you learn the ropes You'll be working office hours Monday to Friday, and after an initial training period, there's the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week.
Summer holidays are the busiest time of the year for boating so, we'll need you on deck for the whole of December and January.
We're closed on 25 December and 1 January.
We're based in the Auckland Marine Rescue Centre at Mechanics Bay, with a great view of the Hauraki Gulf and free parking.
