This is covering a parental leave vacancy.As a member of the Judicial Libraries/He puna matauranga ture team you will be responsible for delivering library and information services to the Judges, judicial support and court staff in courts in the Wellington region. You will play an integral part in ensuring Judicial Libraries meets the information needs of the judiciary – now and in the future.It is a role to which you will be able to bring your experience of providing special library research and information services in a legal or service-oriented organisation.Judicial Libraries is reviewing the way we deliver training and the research and current awareness services we offer. We are also expanding our electronic resources collections and there is a particular focus on Matauranga Maori in the services we offer and how that contributes to Te Ao Marama. You will have the opportunity to be involved in some or all of those projects.This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to work with the Judiciary and the Judicial Libraries team. We are looking for a self-starter who will also work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver quality services to our stakeholders. O pukenga/Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in the role you should possess: * High level communication skills and an ability to build collaborative relationships * An understanding of tikanga and reo Maori, and the Treaty of Waitangi * Excellent computer skills * Experience in research best practice * Experience in collection management and development * Experience in training users in electronic resources, including remotely.The successful applicant will be able to utilise existing experience and skills whilst being supported with high-quality training and development opportunities including job shadowing as they grow in the role.
