Committed to excellence whilst maintaining our historical relevance, we have an exciting opportunity for a Superintendent to lead our Course Maintenance team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Implement effective maintenance and agronomic programs that promote high-quality playing conditions and overall course appearance.
Monitor and adjust course maintenance practices as necessary to maintain ideal playing conditions.
Supervise and lead a team of groundskeepers, ensuring assigned tasks are completed efficiently and meet required standards.
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining course quality.
Collaborate with the General Manager, Golf Operations Manager and other department heads to plan and execute golf course maintenance and improvement projects.
Implement strategies to enhance the sustainability and environmental practices of the golf course, commensurate with Alex Russell's original design.
Develop and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all staff members adhere to proper safety procedures.
Manage the inventory of golf course maintenance supplies, equipment, and materials, and coordinate repairs and replacements as needed.
Maintain accurate records, such as maintenance logs, chemical application records, equipment inventory, along with staff attendance and performance.
Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in golf course maintenance and turf management.
Work effectively with the links supervisory committee.
Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development among staff members.
