Are you a registered counsellor looking for varied work in a great team? We are seeking a Counsellor to join the Student Success Team at UCOL's Palmerston North Campus.
As a counsellor, you will provide professional face-to-face counselling and support to UCOL-Te Pukenga students. This role works within the Student Success Team, and alongside students to maximize their retention and success. You will provide guidance where necessary and direct students towards appropriate internal support services and external community services as appropriate. There will also be times when you will deliver to groups in a workshop situation.
This is a permanent full-time position.
The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of community services available in Palmerston North and have established networks. We are looking for someone who has proactive problem-solving ability, and experience working with people of different ages, stages of development, and cultures is essential.
UCOL's close-knit Student Success team requires you to be a team player who is able to work within a small but passionate team committed to supporting students in every way. You will be working across all campuses and across other teams to ensure the best outcomes are reached for our students.
A relevant tertiary qualification is essential, and membership or provisional membership to NZAC is also essential.
