The Role
As the Supply Chain Accountant, you will be a trusted financial leader for the Site/Manufacturing Management team. This role is essential in driving operational excellence and cost control. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Plant Accounting:
Maintain and record cost accounting records.
Ensure accuracy in labour, material, and overhead costs.
Align cost calculations with company policy.
Factory Reporting:
Publish weekly production and variance reports.
Prepare monthly factory performance accounting journals.
Analyse cost information and report variations from expected costs.
Participate in key meetings and support stock reduction initiatives.
Business Analysis:
Provide timely financial analysis and advice.
Conduct quarterly SOX testing and cost approvals.
Other duties including:
Prepare annual budgets and participate in the review process.
Manage supply chain journals and external products DMC.
Coordinate external product portfolio budgets.
Provide financial support to business leaders.
Identify and address gaps between forecasts and targets.
Manage and support accurate financial reports to aid decision-making.

The Candidate
Our client is looking for a proactive and personable candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's degree in commerce or business (Accounting) or equivalent
CA qualified (ideally)
Minimum 3 years of experience, including costing experience in manufacturing
Strong understanding of cost accounting methods and procedures
Proven problem-solving ability and high attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong reporting, presentation, and influencing skills.
Experience in the packaging or food industry is a bonus.
