The New Zealand Customs Service is seeking a Corporate Services Officer to support the Corporate Services team in Auckland.
This role is a permanent full-time position, working with a small friendly team of other CSOs, reporting to the Corporate Services Manager, Northern.
Hours of work are between 08:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (inclusive). The Corporate Services team is part of the wider Enterprise Services Group and is responsible for providing sustainable, efficient, and effective corporate services and infrastructure support within Customs.
As a Corporate Services Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and administrative functions as required by Customs.
You will have a client-centric focus, with a professional attitude, high integrity, calm manner, and sound judgement, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
You will be based at one of our two corporate occupancies and may be required to work at the other location on occasion.
This role is dynamic and busy. It offers variety and requires a component of activity that would suit someone not wanting to be fully desk-based and is able to manage light lifting and standing.
This role will allow the opportunity to build strong work relationships across Customs business units nationally. Key responsibilities for this role will include:
Purchasing goods and services, including obtaining quotes, purchase order preparation, and goods receipting.
Uniform ordering, issuing, and recording duties.
Mail and courier distributions.
Arranging building services repairs and maintenance.
Security system maintenance and programming.
Issuing staff and visitor passes and security access cards.
General motor vehicle fleet management.
Assisting with corporate tasks at other Customs locations.
Undertaking general administrative tasks.
To join Customs in any role, you must be a New Zealand Citizen or NZ Permanent Resident.
