All the tools are set up at their Hawkes Bay based winery asset to keep you linked into the corporate team.Your core focus will be to assist the Senior Finance Manager with meeting reporting obligations, lead the management of fixed assets and manage the transactional team. There will be a strong process improvement focus – you will establish and improve the accounting and reporting processes across the team. But we will also need you to get hands-on, managing of month-end processes to produce timely financial results, and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, and have oversight of payroll. You will play a key role in supporting managers to understand and evaluate department performance, operating costs, trends, forecasts so as to develop sound business and investment decisions.We need someone with a good track record in financial accounting, ideally with a real relatability to a winery or similar environment. You will be a tertiary qualified accountant, and ideally CA or equivalent. You must be technically competent in transactional accounting detail but also be keen to help make process improvements and analyse the numbers. You will have had exposure and relate well to stock-based operations, manufacturing, production, and value add operations. You will be able to balance workflow and priorities across financial accounting processes and have proven experience in data reporting and reconciliation.
