About the Role
Clinical support from a midwifery educator and clinical coach.
Ability to work as a midwife in all the areas you love.

Chance to work in both our maternity secondary unit (Nelson) and primary unit (Motueka).

We are looking to employ NZ registered midwives with loads of passion and commitment to join our maternity team.
We have 1,000 births a year, and we can promise that your core midwifery role will be busy and varied - so no two days will be the same. The best thing is that our service is midwifery led so you will get to be a midwife practising in all the areas you love!
About you
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
As a midwife, you will be able to use all of your clinical, time management and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing and postnatal care.
You will be an important member of the maternity service and support us to achieve the broader organisational health care objective.
You will be committed to women-centred and culturally respectful care.
Experience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
