The Electoral Commission is looking for an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Coordinator to join the Business Enablement team. This is a 7-month Fixed Term role to support the delivery of Maori Electoral Option 2025, Local Body Election 2025 and the preparation of General Election 2026.
The Learning and Development Coordinator will provide efficient and timely coordination and support in developing and delivering election delivery training products and services for electoral events.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the development, delivery and evaluation of training programme, products and services.
Collating accurate inputs from subject matter experts, check the completeness of information and develop early iterations of training materials.
Planning and managing logistics and bookings for training events.
Assist with maintaining information and reports in Totara, the Learning Management System.
Working collaboratively with subject matter experts across the Electoral Commission.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
Have great planning and organisational skills.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Have experience in facilitating group training and discussions.
Have strong computer literacy, including high competence in the Microsoft Office suite.
Build relationships effectively, both internally and externally.
Demonstrate good judgement and problem-solving skills.
Be flexible and have the ability to work on multiple activities at any given time.
Experience administering a Totara learning management system with a focus on maintenance and quality assurance for course material.

In association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade under the New Zealand Aid Programme, the International Team provides technical assistance to electoral agencies in the Pacific and beyond to support those agencies to enhance their electoral administration capability.
