Cook

Daily Catch Fish and Chips in Whangarei currently look for a hardworking and reliable Cook to join us. Working hours is from 30 to 40 hours per week. Pay rate ranges from $28.50 to $30 per hour.

Your duties will include:

Prepare and cook food items on the menu.

Thaw frozen items, wash, clean and cut fish, seafood, poultry and vegetable.

Operate cooking equipment such as grill, microwaves and deep fryer.

Clean food preparation areas, cooking equipment, cutting boards, trays etc.

Remove rubbish and clean the floor at the end of each shift.

Unpack, label and store delivered food supplies.

Restock used items and inform when food supplies are running low.

Pack food items and beverage for serving.

Perform any other related duties as required.

Required skills and attributes:

Have at least a year relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen.

Able to work until 9pm, available to work on weekends and public holidays.

Physically fit for heavy liftings and tasks that requires physical strength.

Able to learn fast and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Have strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Applicants must have the right to work lawfully in New Zealand.
