Job Description:About the Role: The Cook is an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for delivering delicious and nutritious meals for our residents. This role will encompass meal preparation, adherence to dietary requirements and ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Please note that this is a casual role. Your responsibilities will include:
Food preparation according to established menus and dietary requirements & preferencesMaintaining strict adherence to food safety standards including food storage, handling and cooking techniquesPreparing and cooking set meals to residents' satisfaction in a timely mannerBuilding and managing rapport with direct reports with full accountability for all aspects of coaching and performance developmentComplying with all food safety requirements and maintaining high levels of food hygiene at all times Qualifications:About You: You will be a highly motivated and skilled Cook with excellent time management skills. To be successful you will bring:
Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a similar setting such as a retirement community, healthcare facility, or restaurantSound understanding of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a clean kitchen environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate in a teamFlexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays as requiredCertification in safe food handling is preferred Additional Information:Our aim is to create a great employee experience, collaborate to find ways to improve, and support each other.
