New Zealand Taxpayers' Union Inc. – Wellington Central, North Island
We are seeking a Graphic Designer. You will play a vital role as our in-house designer in visually conveying our organisation's mission of Lower Taxes, Less Waste and More Accountability.
Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you will be part of a small team with day-to-day responsibilities that support the organisation's campaigns, including:
Developing engaging, consistent and visually striking graphic design content for all marketing platforms and campaigns using illustration, typography and photography
Ensuring all graphic design assets are continually improved and kept up to date, relevant and in-line with the Taxpayers' Union visual identity
Creating strong brand and visual identities for our campaigns, including logos, website design, signage, promotional materials, and merchandise
Designing infographics, newspaper advertisements, and social media content which communicates key messages clearly
Producing regular social media advertisements for our campaigns and A/B testing different concepts to determine what works most effectively
Laying out our regular pipeline of reports, including our research projects, briefings, and annual report
The role can be tailored to your skill set. As the perfect candidate for this role you will have:
A good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
An ability to meet deadlines and capability to handle urgent assignments in our fast-paced work environment
A portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including digital and print material
A proven track record of professional experience in graphic design either in-house or for an agency
An understanding of design principles, typography, layout, colour, and visual storytelling and an ability to communicate these to non-designers
A basic knowledge of video editing, illustration and animation is desirable but not essential
