Our clients are looking for a driven and motivated Summer Intern to join their Contract Management team.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable assisting in various site tasks, data compilation, and quality assurance processes. This candidate will also need to demonstrate the ability to work independently and have strong social skills when working with teams.
As it's a busy role, you'll enjoy learning and gaining valuable hands-on experience in the civil industry, working in various parts of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities: In this role, you'll be exposed to multiple different aspects of Project Management and Construction. You'll experience daily communication with Contract Managers and construction teams, site observation and records, documentation and compliance tasks.
You'll assist with conducting GPS setout, topographic and Asbuilt surveys, then compiling in MS Excel or CAD software.
Quality control is essential. You'll review contractual requirements and implement testing and documentation for various stages of work. Testing may include Clegg, Scala and NDM site testing.
No two days are the same, so you will have a mix of office and on-site experience in construction. On-site work may include labouring and operating machinery.
Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Valid Class 1 driving license with manual driving experience.Detail-oriented with an ability to follow procedures.Proficient in data entry, Excel and documentation practices.Basic understanding of surveying and testing methodologies is a plus.In addition to these, you will be required to undertake a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal history check, as well as be able to provide references on request and have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
