5 weeks annual leave | flexible working | family friendly environmentAbout the Role This role will see you responsible for the contract management of solid waste in the Thames-Coromandel district. With seven refuse and recycling transfer stations across the district, and kerbside collection to over 27,000 customers, you'll work closely with the Council's solid waste contractor to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
Oversee the operation of all refuse and recycling transfer stations.Manage, audit and ensure compliance of solid waste contracts.Oversee budgets, costs, identify & address operational challenges.Keep up to date with maintenance and repairs of solid waste assets.Work closely with contractors and suppliers.Skills & Experience Ideally you will have experience in contract management and/or the waste industry.Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or environmental science would be advantageous.Understanding of NZS3917/3910 ideal but not essential.Have a collaborative and consultative approach, be a natural communicator.Ability to balance risk, be pragmatic and consider Council obligations.About Thames-Coromandel District Council As a vibrant, sustainable and connected district, Thames-Coromandel is focused on building a community of trust and "being the best we can".
