Mo tenei turanga | About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager for a fixed-term position until 31 October 2025.
The Contract Manager position plays a key role in managing relationships with an assigned portfolio of pharmaceutical suppliers which Pharmac has contracts with. The Contract Manager role analyses contracts, monitors contract compliance, contract events, and database management.
This role plays a critical role in managing potential supply issues and supporting the development of strategies to mitigate risk and limit the impact of supply issues.
As well as the functions associated with Contract Management, you will also act as a subject matter expert and mentor and coach for other members of the team.
This role is Pharmac band 6, with a range of $77,165 - $104,399 total remuneration (inclusive of 3% KiwiSaver Employer contribution). The appointment salary is subject to the preferred candidate's relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

Our ideal candidate would bring:
Extensive experience in contract management and managing supplier relationships
An understanding of the application and management of procurement and contracts processes.
Experience in analysing data and reporting on contract performance
Strong communication skills, including excellent relationship management skills.
Experience in mentoring and supporting kaimahi.
A willingness to learn about medicines, vaccines, and Pharmac.
An ability to manage and monitor multiple priorities and the ability to anticipate needs
Experienced in logistics and supply chain systems.
