Contract Manager

Seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our client who has been operating in the civil field for 3 decades, with a strong footprint in Waitaki, Otago & Southland. 
This position is based in the beautiful coastal town of Oamaru which offers a variety of outdoor activities, gorgeous landscapes and unique wildlife, not to mention the affordability. 

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for obtaining and coordinating contracts and operations for the Surfacing, Construction & Traffic Management crews. With a passion for civil works, you will assist in driving the branches growth and developing your teams along the way. 

The role:
Pricing variety of works Developing and submitting tenders Project coordination Compliance management (H&S, environmental, ISO accreditations) Seeking out project opportunities and winning work. Client & stakeholder engagement.  Identify areas of improvement for teams and works. Assisting the Branch Manager in operations and stepping in where required. The person:
5+ years in Contract Management A solid background in the civil industry with hands-on experience progressing through various roles. Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferred but not a must-have). Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Financial acumen.  Leader who can understand individual staff needs.
