The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi Do you have an eye for a great story, strong journalistic writing skills and creative flair? We're looking for an experienced writer to join our collaborative team at Alumni Relations and Development (ARD) as our content writer. You'll be reporting to the ARD Communications and Marketing Manager and working on projects across the ARD team. You'll be sourcing, writing and editing content for a variety of purposes and formats, including print and online publications, ARD websites, and direct marketing for events and video. You will be involved in a variety of projects to promote ARD's goals and tell our stories, mainly to our alumni and donor audiences. You will be line managed by the Communications & Marketing Manager and work closely with colleagues across ARD, including the digital engagement, alumni relations and fundraising teams. About you | He korero mou We are looking for someone with excellent journalistic writing skills and the ability to understand and reach our audiences through engaging storytelling. If you have direct experience in journalism your application will be highly considered. This role involves interviewing a wide variety of people including academics, alumni, donors and students in order to produce engaging stories. You will need to be able to turn complex and often specialist material into interesting narratives for a wide audience. You will need an eye for detail and the organisational skills to co-ordinate projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines. You should be proactive and comfortable with taking responsibility for your time and work. We are seeking | E rapua ana matou Journalism experience.
