Details of the offer

Play your part in delivering memorable customer experiences.

Rare opportunity to join our 24/7 Auckland Contact Centre in a permanent, full-time role.

Hybrid working environment.

We're constantly challenging ourselves to reimagine our customer experience, and work hard to connect and build trust. Ultimately, our service should make people feel at home no matter where they are. Creating a supportive workplace is important to us. If we expect our people to realise their potential, it's only fair we support them in getting there. This is an exciting time to join the business while we review our Global Contact Centre network.

As a permanent full time Consultant in our Auckland Contact Centre, you will be providing excellent customer service by responding to inbound calls, assisting with bookings and managing existing reservations via a multichannel offering. You will assist in looking after the travel needs of over 36 million passengers each year, recognizing our customers as individuals in a way that adds value for both the customer and the business.

What you'll bring to the role:

A passion to serve customers with a positive 'can-do' attitude.

Customer service experience – preferably in the aviation or travel and tourism industry, and/or in a contact centre environment.

Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to follow through to resolution.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Self-motivation and resilience.

The flexibility to work a rotational shift roster covering a 24/7 operation.

Why Qantas?

There are many different opportunities across our team, which means you'll be able to grow both personally and professionally at Qantas. Your development is a priority for us – so that you can maintain the high standards our customers have come to expect and can continue to develop over time. You'll be supported from day 1 with on-the-job training and coaching as well as our formal training opportunities. While you may start in this role, we've got a great track record of supporting our people to take their career in so many different directions, the destinations are endless.

The Qantas employee benefits program offers amazing benefits that extend well beyond travel:

We love to travel: From day one in the role, our employees enjoy heavily discounted Qantas and Jetstar flights including space available upgrades to available cabins. After 6 months in the role, you, your family and eligible travel beneficiaries can receive discounted flights across the globe with over 150 partner airlines.

Leave: Take a well-deserved break with 4 weeks of annual leave, plus an additional week for working shifts per year. An extra week is granted after 5 years of continuous service.

Holidays and hotels: Experience a 20% discount on our already fantastic hotel and flight bundles. Additionally, Qantas and Jetstar hotel reservations are available to employees at a 20% reduced rate.

We'll support your wellbeing: Whether it's learning to better support your own and others' mental health, our interactive wellbeing app or your very own tailored nutrition plan. We offer discounted health insurance, free flu vaccinations, heart and skin health checks, wellbeing webinars and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program.

Kiwisaver: Up to 4% contribution on KiwiSaver.

Qantas is an equal opportunity employer, so by coming to work for us, you'll be part of an organisation that encourages diversity, supports charities and environmental initiatives. If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at time of application. We encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and people of all backgrounds to apply.

If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at time of application. We will then work with you to identify the best way to assist you through the recruitment process.
