About the Team:Our Care and Support team is dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by heart disease through comprehensive support and education. We provide assistance through our Heart Helpline, collaborate with primary care and hospitals, and establish support groups. Our focus is on delivering meaningful support and building lasting connections within the community.About the Role:As a Consumer Care Representative, you will be the first point of contact for consumers and health professionals seeking information and resources from the Heart Foundation. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming and professional first-contact experience, ensuring our consumers receive the highest level of support.Your strengths will lie in your excellent customer service skills and your talent for building connections with a diverse range of consumers, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and tact.Key Responsibilities: Create a welcoming and professional first point of contact for consumers. Handle phone calls, emails, website, and social media inquiries, focusing on non-clinical consumer information and navigation of health services. Identify consumer needs, clarify information, research issues if necessary, and provide solutions or alternative options. Triaging calls and queries, responding directly where possible, and referring others to the appropriate agencies or health professionals. Maintain and update the knowledge base that supports the Consumer Care Service. Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: Excellent customer service skills, particularly with phone interactions. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. The ability to connect with a wide variety of consumers, showing empathy, understanding, and discretion. Strong administration and computer skills, with effective task prioritisation. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a health-related field.
