Consultant Psychiatrist - Youth Forensic, Northland New ZealandTe Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand, Te Tai TokerauWhangarei, Northland NZThe Mental Health and Addiction Services in Northland New Zealand are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Youth Forensic service. This is a permanent, part-time position based in Whangarei NZ.We are looking for a skilled Psychiatrist to provide assessment and management of youth presenting via the youth justice system. This is a key role that provides clinical leadership to Te Roopu Kimiora (TRK) and is an effective member of multidisciplinary teams in our Mental Health and Addiction Services. Previous experience in inpatient and community settings working with children and youth, including interacting with justice systems, would be ideal.This is a great development opportunity to join a close-knit team but still be a part of a broader group of psychiatrists contributing to care across the age bands and in sub-specialty services including maternal mental health, early psychosis service, and addictions.
