Consultant General Medicine Physician | Nelson New Zealand Seeking a consultant general medicine physician / internist with a subspeciality for a dual scope of practice position in a hospital based practice in one of the South Island's most sought after locations.
Position Highlights 140 bed general public hospital providing secondary medical and surgical services
40 hour working week plus on call rota 1 in 8 with on site registrar 24 hour cover
Acute Cardiology team including interventional service
24/7 virtual telestroke service
Supervise and participate in teaching of junior medical workforce
Subspeciality of nephrology, stroke medicine or geriatrics preferred but all considered
Professional Requirements FRACP or equivalent specialist qualification
Fellowship / subspecialist training
Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of general medicine
Remuneration Package Salary (ASMS scale depending upon experience)
On call allowances
Superannuation at 6%
6 weeks annual leave
12 days public holidays
10 days study leave plus NZD16K pa for expenses
