About the Role In this Commercial Underwriting Consultant role, the purpose is to assist and support the underwriting of Broker portfolios by facilitating and maintaining robust end to end processes that support operational alignment, efficiency, compliance and profitable business performance as it relates to the underwriting discipline. This permanent full-time role based in Christchurch offers hybrid working conditions from home and office. We are open to receiving applications from candidates based in Dunedin or Nelson.
Key Responsibilities: Build and manage relationships with allocated brokers and agents including undertaking broker visits to obtain new and retain existing profitable business.Assist the Business Development Manager with developing a strategic approach to their key broker relationships.Responsible for the underwriting of new business and renewal business including rural risks within the companies underwriting guidelines to selected brokers within delegated authority.Manage the process of authorising broker placings in accordance with company procedures where required.Proactively contribute to improve the image and outcomes of the company within the marketplace to the external customer as well as provide excellent internal customer service.On Offer: Boost your financial future with 4% KiwiSaver employer contribution and life insurance.Up to 50% off personal insurance, including home and motor insurance.Flexibility through our MyFlex program - supporting you to live life to the full.Partner discounts on every day and special occasion items.About You: We'd love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
