Resilient Organisations – Christchurch, South IslandThis is an exciting opportunity to join our passionate, curious, and creative team driven by the desire to build our clients' and communities' capacity to manage natural hazards and respond, adapt, and grow with change.You will join a growing business and get exposure to a diverse range of research, consulting and training assignments.THE ROLEWorking across a variety of research and consulting projects, your main tasks will involve:Working with project leads to scope and define project objectivesReading, analysing, and accurately synthesising literatureCollecting data through interviews, surveys, and other meansAnalysing qualitative and quantitative dataLiaising with clients and other stakeholdersSynthesising results into various formats (reports, journal papers, and research to practice summaries)QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIALA Masters and/or Doctoral degreeStrong written and verbal communication skillsGOOD TO HAVEResearch or employment related to risk, resilience or disaster managementTo be considered for this role, you need the ability to:Be comfortable working both independently and collaborativelyBe comfortable asking for help when needed and contributing to group discussionsBe proficient in managing your time and prioritising tasks to ensure projects are completed on timeHave an enduring interest and curiosity about risk and resilience issues as they relate to organisations, systems, and communitiesAnalyse, synthesise and communicate information effectively and efficientlyBe comfortable with ambiguity and have effective strategies to navigate uncertaintyBuild strong and enduring internal and external relationshipsDemonstrate an adaptable, client-centric, can-do attitudeABOUT USResilient Organisations is a niche research and consulting company based in Christchurch, New Zealand.
